DIRECTOR, WRITER & PRODUCER
"One of the South West's most talented young film makers" - BBC
Born in London, and raised mostly in the Devonshire hills, independent filmmaker Arthur Cauty is a self-proclaimed ‘non drinker’, a pro wrestling enthusiast, and casual rock star.
Cauty has worked with the likes of World record breaking pop duo The Pet Shop Boys, on The Most Incredible Thing, a contemporary ballet for Sadler’s Wells Theatre (broadcast on BBC4), the larger than life wrestlers of the WWE, revered British comedian Paul O’Grady, Miami’s World Symphony Orchestra, and BAFTA award winning film maker Tal Rosner, with credits on programming for Sky and CNBC.
Hard Knocks, Cauty’s directorial debut, was a documentary on the sport of professional wrestling, and featured stars from the WWE (formerly WWF) and TNA (iMPACT! Wrestling). The film played at numerous festivals before seeing a DVD release and broadcast on Sky, receiving a slew of critical acclaim from film and Television producers including the BBC and Royal Television Society. A Royal Hangover is Cauty’s feature debut.
